Pregnancy Yoga Course

Yoga in pregnancy creates time and space to integrate the process of change that is taking place.

Pregnancy truly is a remarkable time in your life. Your body and emotions are going through an incredible transformation. Prenatal Yoga at the Albany Yoga Room will empower you with tools and information that will help you move through these changes as you journey from pregnancy to labour to birth, and to becoming a mother. The classes are gentle in nature which combine slow, mindful movements with breathing to allow you and your baby to feel grounded, relaxed and nourished during this amazing time in your life.

The postures, sequences and breathing techniques are specifically designed for the needs of a pregnant woman from 12 weeks of pregnancy. Prenatal Yoga helps to bring calmness of mind and awareness of breath which are invaluable tools for labour. By drawing your attention inward and connecting deeper with your baby, this helps to prepare you to work with your body to birth your baby.

Yoga in pregnancy also promotes:

• Increased energy throughout pregnancy

• Strength and flexibility of the body and mind

• Helps to alleviate some discomfort you may be experiencing through your pregnancy

• A sense of relaxation, trust and confidence in the power of your body

• An opportunity to honour yourself, your pregnancy and your baby

Breath work for Birth preparation

with Marie (Midwifery Degree, Medicine Catholic University of Lille in France).

A workshop to discuss the most efficient way to breathe and the benefits of proper breathing in daily life for mothers and babies. I will guide you through a few relaxations and breathing awareness.
